Frequently asked questions

How does this whole thing work?

It’s all pretty simple really. Next Stop London connects you to a select group of recruiters, chosen based on your experience. We take out the hassle of having to scroll Google trying to find them yourself. Once you’ve been connected you can expect to hear from the recruitment agencies within a week or so. If you get a job through your NSL introduction we’ll also send you a £100 commission on yourself!

Will using NSL cost me anything?

No, NSL is a free service for candidates.

What else do I need to do to get set up in London?

There are a couple of things that are good to get sorted as soon as you land – bank accounts, phone contracts and services for your new place are a good place to start. We’ve collated a bunch of recommendations that you can find under ‘Resources’ when you login.

What recruitment companies do you partner with?

We’ve partnered with an awesome group of recruitment agencies that we have selected based on their team and the industries that they service. These agencies all have a variety of great clients so if you’ve got the right experience, your likelihood of getting a sweet job through one of them is high.

How early before I move to London should I register with NSL?

As early as you want, however, we do recommend waiting until you’re almost in London (say, a month before you move) before submitting your NSL application. Recruitment agencies have fast turnarounds on many of their jobs, so the closer you are to being available for work the higher your chances of placement.

What if I haven’t heard from the recruiters that I submitted my info to? How long until I can expect to hear from them?

Once you’ve submitted your information, you should hear from your chosen recruitment partners within one to two weeks. If not, there are a number of reasons you may not have heard from them yet:

1) You have applied too far in advance - we recommend that you submit your Next Stop application one month from arrival in London so that our partners can put you forward for their open roles.
2) Your experience may not properly align to the industries they service - we recommend only submitting to those that are appropriate

If you still haven't heard anything after a few weeks, let us know at [email protected] and we can look into what’s going on.

Can I use NSL if I already live in London?

Yes, while NSL is aimed at those moving to London, you can submit an application if you’re already here. If you have already registered with one of our recruitment agencies, we request that you do not select them again.

What do I do if I haven't heard from any recruiters?
How will my information be used?

For users that register on our website, we store the personal information you provide in your user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete your personal information at any time. This information is shared with the specific recruitment partners of your choosing during registration. At any time, you can request that we erase any personal data we hold about you.

How do I delete my account?

Oh no, you’re leaving?! Contact [email protected] and we will delete it right away.

Is there Next Stop for any other cities?

We recently launched Next Stop Australia, servicing the Legal, Accounting and Marketing sectors.
